The Role
Based in our HQ in Loganholme nestled between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the Head of Retail is a key position and a true leadership role within the business. They report to the Chief Retail Officer and are responsible for leading and driving the overall retail strategy, new store openings, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, profitability, and exceptional customer experience across all stores. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of retail sales and operations, customer engagement, and commercial acumen to optimise store performance and deliver business growth. They will lead a team of Regional Managers across AUNZ as well as an Operations team who will run new store openings, communications and special projects across retail.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Financial & Sales Performance:
Build and execute a sales-driven retail strategy that fosters deep community engagement and drives store traffic.
Set and manage overall national sales and expense budgets, delivering weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports with data-driven insights and action plans.
Analyse P&L statements and identify opportunities for business growth and cost efficiency in a timely manner.
Optimise employee wages and scheduling to balance productivity and financial performance.
Leadership & Team Development:
Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and recognition through regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
Operations and Initiatives:
Support New Store Openings (NSOs) to ensure smooth execution and effective team support.
Champion operational excellence by providing stores with necessary tools, including SOPs, process guides, and campaign materials.
Ensure timely, clear communication and rollout of initiatives so teams are well-informed and set up for success.
Product & Customer Experience:
Own the in-store product lifecycle—from inventory to fulfillment—using strong sell-through techniques and high visual merchandising (VM) standards.
Align VM and merchandising strategies with sales goals to maximize commercial opportunities and storytelling.
Use retail technology and data to drive sales, optimize operations, and enhance the team and community experience.
Continuously challenge and evolve the community experience to improve engagement and innovation.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Promote a unified, team-first culture across all departments, embracing collaboration and mutual respect.
Drive omnichannel integration by working closely with e-commerce and digital teams to align in-store and online experiences, campaigns, and promotions.
Strategic Growth & Expansion:
Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute long-term growth plans.
Conduct market research to inform strategic decisions and uncover emerging trends and customer behaviours.
Essential Skills / Experience
Proven experience in a senior retail leadership role, preferably as a Head of Retail, Retail Director, or similar
Strategic, results-driven leader with strong commercial acumen and a track record of driving sales, profitability, and business expansion.
Inspires and motivates teams with exceptional leadership, emotional intelligence, and the ability to rally around initiatives.
Experienced in multi-store and omnichannel environments, with a talent for turning vision into actionable, long-term strategies.
Skilled at building relationships across all levels—internal teams, external stakeholders, and the community.
