Our story
LSKD is an Australian-owned and operated brand that prides itself in producing high-quality functional sportswear with a street aesthetic. What does my team do?
Our commitment to fostering a sense of community and connection is at
the core of the Community Marketing team. Building brand and
community which can be recognised as driving deep loyalty within our
fitness communities and aligning them to our mission of inspiring them to
be 1% better every day. We are creating a way to connect authentically
with a broadly diverse group of people that are glued together through
their collective passion for fitness and personal development.
The gig
This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Head of Community Marketing. Our Events Manager is responsible for the events team comprising of 2-3 direct reports and fostering a great relationship with all event partners. This role is pivotal in creating continuously epic events that align with the LSKD mission and values, to foster traffic growth, brand loyalty and a positive community sentiment. This role will be directly accountable for ensuring our events are aligning back to our brand calendar, as well as linking back cross-functionally to all departments including product, retail and online. You'll be responsible for ensuring our community events and partnerships are successful, and that all events are aligned back to the overarching brand strategy including product launches, gifting, and community marketing programs. This role works in collaboration with all departments, and side by side with Community Marketing, Fitness Partnerships, Retail, Athletes and the Digital Marketing team.
MY RESPONSIBILITIES
Including but not limited to:
- Builds a strong events strategy for a rolling 18 months with the IMM (Integrated Marketing Merchandise) calendar at the forefront
- Responsible for enrolling the wider team in the vision and strategy of the events space
- Plan, execute, and evaluate external events, aligning back to the company annual brand campaigns, that are fresh and engaging whilst also factoring in budget
- Ensure all events partnerships are healthy, and continue to foster new relationships where we see brand-alignment
- Continuously look at new upcoming trends in the market to identify what events we should be doing that bring our mission to life
- Responsible for working with external suppliers and vendors and procuring new suppliers where there may be opportunities in cost-saving or quality assurance
- Continuously challenge the status quo, looking at ways to improve community events and programs, being 1% better everyday
- Review KPIs and report on how we’re tracking weekly – look at ways to improve and continuously drive growth amongst our online and offline stores around event activations
- Ensure there is clear communication about what is happening in the community department, aligning all events and activations to the Asana calendars and tasks, and is aligned to the IMM in a timely way
- Manage and lead the Events team in a way that fosters incredible culture, collaboration, leading with the values at the forefront
- Ensure that all teams that are activating events are clear and enrolled on the event strategy, plan and execution tasks before, during and after
- Stays connected through avidly sweating in the community through our 1% better program. Ensure to always keep your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the functional fitness space, as well as up and coming trends
- Ensure to always capture brand-aligned content at every event, and is shared on socials in a timely way
- Represent our brand and create a community - celebrate how our community are inspired to 1% Better Every Day and galvanise teams to join
- Builds and maintains relationships with external partners, event organisers, and key influencers

To give you the edge:
- 7+ years of leadership with 2 or more direct reports
- Proven skills in managing a strong high performing and happy
team
- A strong background in community building, marketing, partnerships
and event management
- Accomplished experience in business development, project
management, event management and budget management
- Evidence of driving growth beyond what appears possible that has the team and community at the heart of the execution
- Able to vision, strategise and lead a plan to execution, and galvanise a team around it
- Has worked for 3+ years in an omnichannel environment directly working with ecommerce and marketing teams
