We’re seeking someone who loves early mornings, vibes working alongside other amazing humans and enjoys drinking coffee, sometimes maybe too much!

No Barista experience necessary - just a love for coffee and people! 

This is a CASUAL position - roughly 15 hours per week however based on business requirements, no set minimum guarantee. As much flexibility as possible is desired.

About you

You are a positive and confident person who values the experience of those you engage and serve. You enjoy coffee and want to deepen your knowledge around such a specialty product. You genuinely enjoy being around others and value being part of a broader community.

You understand that hospitality requires a unique set of skills that is deeper than customer service alone and take pride in producing quality and consistent products every time. You chase the vibe every day and want to be the best at what you do.

You are a confident communicator that can work well under pressure in fast paced environments, but show initiative to complete other tasks with high attention to detail when the moment arises. 

Desirable skills and experience

• Keen interest in coffee, beans and brewing or willingness to learn
• Demonstrated ability to show high standard of customer service and hospitality
• Ability to use or learn the use of a POS
• Ability to be flexible and resilient in times of pressure 

 Main duties and tasks

• Be a positive contributor to the cafe team every time you attend your shift
• Chase the vibe. Bring the vibe
• Learn and understand the basics of coffee extraction and latte art
• Welcome customers to the space and take orders using our POS 
• Assist with food preparation, handling, and plating.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and seating spaces in accordance with Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safety Standards
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
• Flexibility to assist with varied tasks and adapt to the café's needs, showing initiative when appropriate
• Support the team in restocking supplies, handling transactions, and managing orders
• Learn, understand and implement the systems designed to help you succeed and create the best possible customer experienc
