The Role
Based at our Loganholme HQ, this role is all about driving exciting initiatives to optimise our AU & NZ stores! You’ll lead Retail Operations, Project Management, New Store Openings, and Communications. This role will identify areas of opportunities to improve how we operate (one of our core values - there's a way to do it better, find it!) and roll out game-changing projects.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Retail Performance:
Lead and develop Regional Managers and store teams, ensuring KPI achievement and exceptional customer service.
Oversee store performance, including recruitment, training, and day-to-day operations, ensuring cleanliness, leave management, and staff efficiency.
Cultivate internal and external relationships, including center management and partners, to drive profitability and sales growth.
Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies to increase customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue.
Regularly review performance through weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews, and complete trade deck reporting.
Retail Operations:
Own P&L, budgeting, and cost-saving strategies, ensuring efficient store operations across AUNZ.
Manage store infrastructure, maintenance, and consumables, ensuring all operational requirements are met.
Create and implement best practice process guides and policies, including inventory and training materials.
Support national retail managers with rostering, budgets, incentive programs, and control costs to drive productivity.
Project Management:
Lead cross-departmental projects and manage new initiatives from inception to execution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Oversee operational changes and internal expansion plans, coordinating with third-party vendors and contractors.
Communications:
Own and update the Retail Calendar, ensuring timely and accurate store communications.
Manage Brand Campaign Rollout decks, ensuring all relevant information is shared with teams.
Address store operational queries promptly, providing necessary support to stores.
New Store Openings:
Lead the NSO program, ensuring stores open on time, within budget, and with the right leadership team in place.
Coordinate weekly NSO calls and track department progress, ensuring KPIs are met and projects are executed on schedule.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Foster collaboration between HQ and store teams, ensuring integrated approaches and maximizing productivity.
Lead training and development efforts, provide feedback, and support team growth, aligning personal and professional goals.
Promote a culture of teamwork, unity, and continuous improvement, celebrating the community’s commitment to 1% better every day.
Reporting and Analytics:
Track and analyse initiative performance, providing regular reports to optimize future strategies.
Leverage consumer insights, market trends, and competitive analysis to inform decisions and achieve P&L and EBITDA goals.
7-10 years in retail, with expertise in operations, new store execution, and project leadership, driving growth while prioritising community and team member satisfaction
Strong P&L and hands-on store operations experience, successfully leading organisations with a focus on long-term, progressive strategies
Proven ability to inspire and galvanise teams around new initiatives and launches, fostering a positive culture and strong team development
Exceptional emotional intelligence and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the business, with experience working with external stakeholders
Skilled in managing omnichannel environments and optimising cross-functional operation
Adaptable and resilient, thriving in fast-paced environments, handling setbacks with positivity
Strong business knowledge, including P&L, budgets, sales forecasts, and retail strategy, with a deep understanding of the AU and NZ market
Exceptional communicator and collaborator, with strong analytical skills and the ability to lead change and manage people effectively
Proven experience in executing strategic plans, store rollouts, and commercial negotiations, with a keen attention to detail
